Sheila was having a normal day until......

Sheila was having a normal day until she was crossing the street and got ran over by a maniac biker.  The biker was going about 30 miles an hour and didn't even try to slow down or avoid Sheila.  The biker was uninjured but Sheila was not so lucky.  Sheila laid still in the road.  The biker got off his bike and went to help her.  She didn't answer when the biker shook her and tried to wake her up.  So the biker called 911 and when the ambulance got there Sheila was still unconscious.  They brought Sheila to the emergency room.  Sheila was in a coma for the next 2 years.  The family had the chance to pull the plug but though she would pull threw.  While Sheila was in a coma she had many dreams of her accident.  She wondered where the biker was today. Was he in jail where he belonged? Or was he free on the street living his life while she was stuck here in this bed.  Sheila's family thought she liked the music and stories they would read and play for her. She wished she had the power to wake up and tell them to knock off all the racket.  During the time Sheila was in the hospital the biker was free. Sheila hadn't died yet so he couldn't be charged with a crime. But if she didn't make it he would be spending many years of his life in prison.

Dopamine

Yesterday in class we listened to different kinds of music and figured out which one we liked best, we also did an experiment where we counted to 10 and timed ourselves to see how fast we could do it.  After listening to everyone's music we decided which one we liked best. And we listened to that song again then counted to 10 again to see if we could do it any faster.

tererium

The spider plants have grown about 6 or seven inches even tho there is barely any water left. the bottom looks nasty because of all the algae that was in the water. I bet macs bones are down there somewhere. hahaha

cougars

I fully support hunting so obviously i think hunting cougars should be legal. they are dangerous animals, the less we have on the planet the better.  when they run out of food in the woods they go into cities, they can eat cats and dogs and small children.  hunting them should be made legal. not all year round but at least a month or two out of the year.

potash brook compared to centenial

potash brook is a lot bigger than centenial brook. potash brook is 50 feet wide and centenial brook is only about 2.5 feet wide.  centenial brook is only half a foot deep and potash brook is about 5 feet deep.  potash brook has 8 different species while centenial brook has only 2.  potash brooks PT index is 29 which is excellent.  centenial brook only has a PT index of 5. potash brook moves faster than centenial.  potash moves at .45 feet per second, and centenial goes .34 feet per second.

tererium

Mac is dead. Oh well. I'm sure his skeleton is in the bottom of our tererium somewhere. Our plants have grown about 3 inches but still no flowers. The plants are starting to die because they are running out of water. Its gonna smell really nasty if I open it to add more water so I am not adding any more.

centenial woods

Today there is a faint buzzing in the background. Almost like a small plane or maybe a chain saw. I ventured further down the stream and found a natural bridge made of 4 down trees. the trees are moss covered and wet. Probly not the best thing to walk across.

story of the woods

A long time ago a farmer had a feild and then the farmers field closed because his cows died and pine trees took over all the land and now there is a forest

disturbance in the tererium

First of all Mac is still alive! His water level has gone down about 2 inches. to disturb my tererium I cut half of the grass and flowers down to imitate grazing from cows or other animals

tererium

Our tererium hasn't grown much. We still only have sprouts of our flowers. Mac is still alive! We are going to have to add more water soon or poor Mac isn't going to be able to swim around.

trip to centenial 10/3

 I

see water and some down trees. I hear birds and the small creek running by. I smell fresh clean air. Kinda pine smelling. Today there is a girl near my spot drawing a picture I feel the solid sturdy tree I am sitting on. And the cold water on my hands when I put them in the creek.

Trip to centennial #2

We saw a tree with molds of teeth all around it.  And we went to a small brook that will eventually end up going all around the park due to eroding the dirt around it. Chase made us walk up a giant hill but we all made it. I like being in the woods and hunting so I feel right at home there.  The woods are so quiet and piece full. When you are alone and you hear random sounds it's a little sketchy. But other than that the woods are fun.

How we built out terrarium

We started with just two bottles! some pond water! a minnow! some dirt a spider plant and some seeds.  We cut the tops off the bottles and put pond water and some water plants along with our fish Mac in the first bottle.  Next we took the second bottle and put it top side down into the first bottle, first we put rocks then dirt then some seeds and a spider plant.

Mac, our fish hasn't grown at all. But the water he is living in had gone down about 1/2-3/4" our wild flowers are starting to grow but there are no flowers yet.

Forest

We went to the forest and I walked threw a stream. There was a down tree that I sat on. It was slimy in some parts but the spot I sat was dry and had no bark. There was things falling from trees and some squirrels.
